U5600 wireless media compatibe pressure transmitter by AMSYS

U5601 wireless media compatibe pressure transmitter

The U5601 are wireless pressure and temperature transmitters with iOS, Android and Windows XP / 7+ compatibility for absolute and gage pressure. This sensor with Bluetooth communication can process pressures of up to 35 bar. What’s special about this sensor is its explosion-proof ATEX and CSA HazLoc (IECEx) certification that enables it to be used in hazardous environments.

Whether for the measurement of air, gas or oil pressure in plant areas that are difficult to access, for mobile maintenance work with logging of measurement data or for more reliability through predictive maintenance, this sensor transmits measurement data quickly and reliably via Bluetooth. Precise pressures and temperatures can be immediately retrieved on the app for Android™ 4.3 or iOS 7 and higher versions.

The pressure transmitters* are powered by a CR2032/CR2050W button cell and can be read out using an app or PC software for Windows® XP/7 and higher. Battery lives of over two years are no longer a problem thanks to the energy-saving BLE 4.2 protocol.

The U5601 measures the gage or absolute pressure independently of the media. The latter device is configured as a sealed gage* relative to a trapped volume, whereas the gage and compound version outputs the measurement relative to atmospheric pressure – the compound version also with negative pressure. All versions are available with various pressure connectors.

The wireless U5601 transmitters are recommended for their high accuracy, long-term stability and numerous protection features for demanding industrial applications. The piezoresistive measuring cells are protected by a steel chamber (316L) with oil reservoir against media influence. The U5601 are therefore particularly suitable for measuring pressure of liquids or gases. They can even be used with contaminated water, hot steam and weakly corrosive liquids.

In addition to the U5601, there is the slightly less accurate M5601 pressure sensor, which is also available in higher pressure ranges. Both are water resistant to IP65 and exceed the latest CE and FCC guidelines for heavy industry. They are protected against overvoltage and reverse polarity.

* Sealed gage is a kind of absolute pressure. It is used in particular for measuring the absolute pressure, at high pressures. However, unlike absolute pressure sensors, the trapped volume was not evacuated.
