The digital 18 bit board-mount pressure sensors in the AMS 5935 series are designed for high precision measurements in low and ultra-low pressure ranges of +/- 125 Pascal. They combine very high measurement accuracy with extremely low power consumption.
The AMS 5935 are housed in a robust ceramic DIL-8 package for PCB assembly. They have an integrated I2C-interface, which allows the readout of calibrated pressure and temperature data. They are extensively calibrated and temperature compensated and feature an extremely low measurement error at room temperature as well as a very small total error band in the compensated temperature range of -25 … 85 °C.
With a supply voltage range of 1.7 V up to 3.6 V and the extremely low current consumption of 0,25 µA in sleep mode, the AMS 5935 pressure sensors are especially suitable for battery powered microcontroller applications.
The USB starter kit AMS 5935 is available to simplify startup and first experiments using the sensor.
Types of pressure and ranges for the AMS 5935
AMS 5935 for ultra low pressure, differential or bidirectional differential:
0 .. 250; 0 .. 500 and 0 .. 1000 Pa; ±125; ±250; ±500 and ±1000 Pa
AMS 5935 for low pressure, differential or bidirectional differential:
0 .. 20; 0 .. 35; 0 .. 50 and 0 .. 100 mbar; ±20; ±35; ±50 and ±100 mbar
AMS 5935 for standard pressure, gauge, differential or bidirectional differential:
0 .. 200; 0 .. 350; 0 .. 500; 0 .. 1000 mbar; ±200; ±350 and ±1000 mbar
AMS 5935 for absolute and barometric pressure:
0 .. 500; 0 ..1000; 0 .. 1500; 0 .. 2000 and 700 .. 1200 mbar
All variants (except absolute / barometric) also available without hose connections for manifold mounting (“-N”) via o-ring seals.
For higher pressure ranges the AMS 5915 with same size and pinout is available (I²C only).
USB-Starter Kit AMS 5935: accessory available for easy tests via USB-interface of a PC, for programming individual I²C bus addresses as well as graphic visualization on the PC.
Note: Special needs, i.e. with medical applications, claim customized sensors. The AMS 5935 meets these expectations and can be modified on customer demand according to several selected criteria for example different connectors or pressure ranges.
