Triple sensor AMS 8607BLE
The AMS 8607 BLE is a battery-powered Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) multisensor for measuring relative humidity, barometric pressure and temperature. Data is transmitted via Bluetooth 4.1 and can be read out and configured by a smartphone app. The wireless sensor is ideal for use in devices that require all three metrics and are installed in hard-to-reach locations.
The sensor is suitable for reflow soldering and designed for a pressure range of 10 to 2,000 mbar yet optimized for a pressure range of 300 to 1,200 mbar. The AMS 8607BLE measures relative humidity within a range of 0 to 100 %RH and temperatures of between -40 and +85 °C with great accuracy.
This sensor is optimized for low power consumption and is powered by batteries. It has a range of about 100 m in the open field. The AMS 8607BLE is built into a plastic housing that allows for indoor and outdoor use.
Mobile data – App for the AMS 8607BLE
Via the AMS 8607BLE app for iOS and Android, the sensor readings can be read out and displayed graphically on mobile devices. Once the app is activated, it scans for Bluethooth Low Energy (BLE) devices and displays them on the app’s homepage with its metrics. After clicking on the desired sensor you get to the detail page where the measured values are displayed in separate diagrams. The values are displayed both alphanumerically and graphically. In addition to the alphanumeric display, an indicator represents the tendency to the last value.
The app also has a logger function. The created “csv” file can be shared or deleted when logging is complete.
The measuring time of the sensor as well as the reporting to the app can be set directly via the app. Other desired features can be implemented according to customer requirements.
Variants of the AMS 8607BLE
The AMS 8607BLE is also offered by AMSYS as a sensor MS8607, which must be integrated into a digital system or mounted on a printed circuit board as PMS8607. This facilitates the test and construction of prototypes.
