Greater flexibility for compact pressure measurement tasks: the AMS 6832 series is now available with pressure ranges from 125 Pa to 2 bar. The sensor combines an analog voltage output with a digital I²C interface and is available in differential, relative, absolute and barometric versions.

Mainz, May 21, 2026 – With the expanded AMS 6832 series, AMSYS offers a compact board-mount pressure sensor with a significantly wider portfolio of pressure ranges. The sensor is now available from 1.25 mbar, or 125 Pa, up to 2 bar. In addition to versions for differential and relative pressure, variants for bidirectional differential pressure, absolute pressure and a barometric version from 700 to 1200 mbar are also available.

The AMS 6832 is suitable for applications requiring a small footprint, high accuracy and flexible signal processing options. The analog output provides a ratiometric voltage signal from 0.5 to 4.5 V for pressure measurement. In addition, 24-bit values for pressure and temperature can be read out via the digital I²C interface.

The sensors are calibrated, linearized and temperature-compensated over a temperature range from -25 to +85 °C. Depending on the pressure range, the series achieves a total accuracy at room temperature of down to less than 0.35 %FSO and a total error band of down to less than 0.5 %FSO over the compensated temperature range. For fast measurement tasks, the sensor offers a response time of less than 2 ms.

The ceramic DIP-6 package, with a width of only 0.43 inch, is designed for PCB mounting and can be integrated directly into OEM devices. The integrated hose connections simplify integration into pneumatic measurement tasks and differential pressure measurement applications.

Typical fields of application include medical technology, HVAC, building automation and measurement technology, for example in ventilators and CPAP devices, spirometers, volume flow measurement, duct pressure and room pressure monitoring, filter monitoring, vacuum control or barometric altitude measurement.

AMSYS supports developers and buyers in selecting the right pressure range, the suitable pressure type and in integrating the sensor into the respective application. For customer-specific requirements, further pressure ranges, 3.3 V supply voltage versions, alternative output options and additional modifications are available on request. A USB starter kit is available for initial commissioning and prototype development.
